Once they accept I-485 in the system then they give us a Receipt#, with that Receipt we can file for EAD / AP (as long as your PD becomes available) then they will process your I-485, Just thinking.. what do you say guys ... Please lete me know.. Receipt Date Vs Visa Number ...
Thanks
You can file EAD/AP together with 485. That's how I did (actually I140 PP was in the same package too). Sent on 6/21 to I140PP address. Had all the receipts beginning of July.

Pause and take a moment to rejoice. Then turn all eyes to processing dates.
TSC July 17 2007
NSC July 28 2007
That would mean July 2 filers EB2 are waiting only for visa number (assuming USCIS is processing cases strictly on RD basis) - wooooooooooooow.

Hello,
I am just showing you my ignorance but what is it about. My wife works in DC right now and very active in fighting for our cause, she is a nurse. She has few correspondence with few senators and congressman but it will be great if there is a bigger force behind it all.please let me know how we can help.I too am tired of waiting in a limbo, the uncertainty is too much and by the day I get so discouraged and sometimes on the verge of giving up.

Hi All,
Thank you to all those who attended the first meeting! I am attaching the excel file for you to complete. I have included instructions in the file itself but let me know if you have questions. Please fill all the columns against your name.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday at 7pm PST. The tasks for our next meeting are as follows:
1) Complete the excel sheet (instructions are included).
2) Brainstorm about possible locations where we can put up a booth to register new members someone had proposed contacting student body at UCI, we can discuss this.
3) Take a look at the IV power point presentation and propose how we can tailor it to our needs. We need a presentation to show to our house reps when we visit them (This will be found on the resources page)
4) Go through the IV template for business cards along with instructions to modify the template and to print the business cards. (this will be found on resources page)
Please let me know if you have any other questions. The conference call information is the same as last time:
Conference Dial-In: (712) 432-3000
Conference Bridge: 227974
Cheers,
Amit

So maybe the H-1B provision killed it??
.
Thats what I think.
Any amendments that contain provisions to increase H1b quota will have very tough time to get through.

I got a RFE for I-693 (Medical Exam) on Jan 27 and we responded in Feb. Our case is being processed in NSC. My husband is the primary applicant. It does seem like something is cooking there...

Hi Tina,
Do you know any employer or recruiting agency (in NY) who can help sponsoring physical therapists for 140 & 485.
I got a NY work permit and got my crdentials evaluated but unfortunately that emplyer is no longer having job vacancy. Now I am stuck and don't know if I can get benefit from some other employer.
Any input would be greatly helpful.
A lot of employers are willing to sponsor Schedule A applications, as far as you get your own lawyer & bare the costs, especially if they don't have an immigration department. So you may want to let them know that you have a lawyer who can file as soon as. Some employers already have the employment notice.
You may already know these, but here goes
