I am happy to report that the USCIS has approved the P-1B visa application that I filed on behalf of Superman is Dead (http://www.supermanisdead.net/), an Indonesian band, that will be appearing on Warped Tour �09 (http://www.warpedtour.com/warpedtour/index.asp).

This is a massive drop. May piss a few "Recent" buyers off but it will sure make any new ones happy. If you're on a Nikon set of gear you're going to be getting excellent new ones for the same price (almost) as a 20D... Amazing.

I had visited US for 6months in 2005 on H1B visa and currently my H1B is expired( Expired in Jun 2007). Now, I am in US on H4 visa. Can anyone please let me know is it possible to renew expired H1B now? If so, what is the procedure for the same?

That would have to be in the form of COS., and I think that counts towards the cap, am not 100% though.

I'm presently on H4 in US and have got the H1B visa approval(Mostly I would get the I94 and wouldn't require stamping unless i leave USA) . Due to personal reasons I need to travel to India planning to go to India.
I would like to get the visa stamped in Tijuana before I go to India.
I have not yet started working with my employer.Infact I did not get my H1B approval papers yet nor have SSN till now.(approval of H1B is on Oct 16th 2007)
Since October has been crossed and i dont have a paystub(since my approval is late) my question is are there problem if the consulate officer asks about why i have come for stamping even before starting the job (since i have 194) and what if he asks for paystubs as iam going after october 1st.
Can anyone please help?

I am currently starting a language institute in California. I incorporated the organization 2 years ago, but I am starting it now. I want to hire a Brazilian national on an h2b visa to teach Portuguese but I am worried that as I am starting the business now and haven't generated income yet I won't be allowed to hire this teacher. Is this something I should worry about? Thank you for any help. I appreciate it.

IV website service provider has informed that they will be installing new hardware on the core switches that are used by IV servers. As such there is a scheduled down time of up to an hour which will occur on October 24, 2008, sometime between 12 AM CST and 6 AM CST.

My understanding is that by using AC21 portability (when I140 is approved and i485 is pending for > 180 days),
one can work for current or any employer provided that new job is 'similar' (per DOL definition) to job listed in labor certification. In this case even if employer revokes 140 petition, 485 petition remains valid
and
One can used AC21 and continue to work for new employer on H1b (even if it is in 7th year extension stage) and doesn't have to use EAD,
Is my understanding correct? if yes,
1. Does one need to notify USCIS/ DOL after invoking AC21 ?
2. If one leaves current company due to better job, life changing event or layoffs what does companies doe generally? Do they revoke 140 petition?

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports on today's citizenship swearing in of Irish-born James Patrick O'Donnell. Mr. O'Donnell immigrated to the US at the age of 4 in 1926 and fought for our country in World War II and won a Bronze Battle Star. In 1987, Mr. O'Donnell applied for a passport to go on a cruise and was told that he was not a citizen despite his clear recollection of being naturalized before shipping out during the war. I came to US on L1(worked for 1 year) and then switched to F1 till getting my H1B on May 2005 (which is 2 years old). How many years(3 or 4) do I have left on H1? I mean will the 1 year L1 count towards the total six years allocated for H1B?

AFAIK L1 counts towards that 6. So if you have done 1 on L1, 2 on H1, then you have 3 more years left on H1

If you apply for COS from US for conversion from H4 to F1 and if the course study falls under TAL then will the COS procedure will take more than normal time? Have anyone experienced this before?
