Hello All,
i applied my wife's H4 visa renewal on Feb 2008 but received the USCIS Ack as April 2008. when i see the processing times now looks like the processing time for the I 539(H4 Renewal) is October 2007
Does any body have any understanding on the processing times on when my H4 Visa petition would be processed with USCIS ack date as april 2008 . any suggestions would be apreciated

Please be advised that the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) has been experiencing delays in the processing of I-765 EADs and I-131 Advance Paroles. Therefore, we recommend that EAD and AP renewals be filed 4 months prior to the expiration date, the earliest date USCIS will accept renewal applications. For EAD applications that have been pending for more than 90 days, an interim EAD card can be issued. Please contact our office for assistance with expedite procedures for your pending I-765 or I-131 application if your current work authorization is about to expire or if you have an emergent need to travel.

Immigration Voice Web Fax is live. You can now send faxes to highlight your issues, ask for meetings and so on. I am thinking of applying for 485 right now, and 5 months later for my wife. Do the dates have to current when I apply for my wife. or it does not matter. Has any one done this where they applied for 485 when dates were current but for spouse at a latter date when the dates were backlogged again.

Hi,
My brother is in this situation, came on L1 in 2008 through company A (valid till june 2010) and got his H1B approved from company B. He went back to India before Oct 2008 and came to US in feb 2009 on L1 again. He now wants to use his H1B, can he do that and how?

Earlier today, I mentioned this provision which would bar DHS from using funds to delay or rescind the no-match rule. The amendment passed by a voice vote, but in consulting with a knowledgeable source, it seems likely that the amendment will not have much affect. That's because it bars DHS from using funds from its 2010 budget for this purpose. As long as DHS rescinds the rule before September 30th (which now seems likely given yesterday's DHS announcement), no 2010 funds would be needed to achieve this result. No that's not the case, there are stringent reqmts for proof of Date of Birth. Passport is not one of them...
Please check other forums where this has been discussed..

here is my situation.
FP done in Nov 2007. Planning a trip to India in Dec 2008 to Jan 2009. What if I receive biometrics during this time? After 1 year of FP, I anticipate that there would be repeat Biometrics done.
Is there a way for us to request Biometrics early? I am going to renew EAD and AP 4 months before expiry (expire in Nov 2008). Will this take care of Biometrics renewal as well?

Hi All,
I went for visa interview in December, but my case was stuck because of administrative processing. I came back on Advance parole. I have the following questions.
1. Can I sponsor my parents visitor visa without any issue? Will the consulate quiz them/stop them because of my H-1 admin processing
2. Also is my admin processing still going on? and can I stamp my H-1 visa in the future after my case is cleared from admin processing.

I have to file a loan application which requires me to state if I am a Lawful Permanent resident alien and I am not sure if I am, can somebody please clarify if I am a Lawful Permanent resident alien or not if I have a pening I-485 application and I am working on EAD?
