I filed my 485 in August 2008 with new fee structure (one time fee for AP and EAD renewals). Now my AP is expiring in November 2009. Can any one who applied for AP renewal under the one time fee structure let me know how do I make use of that fee. I mean.. Can i just skip sending the check for $305?

My married daughter from India currently on visitor visa has been here to visit us. Would like to seek extension of her visa by 4-5 months so that she can spend little more time with us. All her immediate family members are in USA and with extended approved stay she can visit all family members and spend more time with old parents. She has 10-year visa given to her in December 2008 when she came for the first time after this visa. Her husband and children are in India.

Hello:
I got two EAD extensions in past and applied for the same third time. Earlier, EAD Renewals took only 2 weeks time ( from VSC). But this time it is not the case. It is still pending for 4 weeks now.
Are there any recent EAD renewals from TSC for anyone? Please let me know if anybody has similar case?
PS: Since my case(I-485) was transferred from VSC to TSC, I applied for EAD renewal at TSC this time.

Hi Firas,
Expression Blend can be used if you are creating an application that uses XAML for the visuals such as one created in WPF or Silverlight. The logic can be done in C#. Therefore, the answer to your question is "BOTH - if you are planning on building your application in WPF or Silverlight".

This is my situation:
I am in my 8th year of H1B extension (2 one year extensions after 6 years)
I had my LC I140 approved, but due to retrogression I cannot continue with the adjustment of status.
This is my question:
If I move to a new position that would require me to file new LC (PERM), am I still subjected to the 365 days rule?
I am confused because my employer filed the LC 365 days prior to my H1B expire on the 6th year in order to get the extension. Now, since I can only have one year extension and I have less than 1 year left on my H1B visa, can the new LC still be filed? Will this jeopardize future H1B extension?
Am I missing something here? Is there another strategy?
Based on other discussion, it seemed that I am eligible for 3 years extension. But there are still 200 days left on my H1B visa. I suppose 3 years extension cannot be filed until near expiration date.

My I 485 is pending since filing in July 2007 (Receipt Date SEPT2007) Priority date in FEB2006 (EB2). I was wondering if I can change employer. I do work for client but sponsor/employer is keep on exploiting my situation, with same employer for almost 10 years now. I am really fade up. My Friend is having business and if client for whom I have been working with through my employer, ready to get new contract with Friend, then Can I change employer ? In fact relative owns business in Laundry. Is it possible , if client ready to sign contract with relative?In that case my end job is same but since through an employer who would be having different business, do not know whether it is a good idea or not ? If yes, what are limitation and demerits, time involved. Please advise.

FP done on - Oct 24, 485 LUD was 24 Oct.
Nov 3 - one more LUD on 485 app for me and spouse.
: BEC LC cleared on June 21, PD march 2001, I 140 + 485 filed on July 2 for me and spouse.
What do you make out of the two LUDs in less than 2 weeks ?.
My I 140 is still pending. (EB2 Category)

Diversity Lottery ends in FY08. As a baby step, to offset this why dont we ask these numbers - 50,000 to be added to EB visa quota?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced new fees for persons seeking authorization to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. The authorization is obtained prior to travel through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), and typically remains valid for two years. Beginning on September 8, 2010, the ESTA travel authorization will require a valid credit card for payment of a $14.00 fee. The purpose of the fee is to finance efforts to promote international travel to the United States, and cover operational costs associated with running the ESTA program. Individuals who already possess ESTA authorization do not need to pay the fee until it is time for them to reapply.

My employer has been holding back my wages on some excuse or the other. Since I was awaiting my GC, I had no choice but co-operated with them. I got my GC last year in July 2010. I worked with them until September 2010 and due to this payment situation, I have chosen to work elsewhere.Now they promise to pay the back wages from 2010 but the payment never arrives. Repeated followups, emails and calls have yielded the same result. I am not sure what are my options here at this point. I no longer work for that Employer since they never pay on time.

Here's one question I have which I haven't see in any forums so far (perhaps its lurking somewhere .. who knows) ... let me get to the point.
When filing for AOS/485, if the I-140 that was filed prior to filing AOS was pending and gets approved AFTER 485 was filed... should we explicitly inform USCIS that that 140 was appoved ?
I guess USCIS should have that information (of course!) but I am not sure if we should be pro-active and make sure we inform the service center that the 140 was approved ?!
